Bound

Bound, by Donna Jo Napoli

This book is a Chinese version of the Cinderella story.  Xing Xing is forced to help her sister, whose feet are bound, and her Stepmother makes her do all the chores.  There is a lot of Chinese mythology and beliefs in this book, including when Xing Xing's mother is reincarnated as a koi.  I enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to those with a fifth-grade reading level or above.
