Artemis the Brave

Artemis the Brave, by Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams
Published by Simon and Schuster Children's Publishing Division in 2010

In the book Artemis the Brave, Artemis is the main character.  The book takes place in her Beastology class and in High School.  This is a fiction book.  Artemis is the Goddess of the Hunt.  She likes a character named Orion, but he doesn't notice her.  She also has to fight Minotaurs and Scorpions in the Beastology class.  I thought it was a great book to read.  I would recommend this book to girls who are interested in Greek mythology.

Monster Trucks and Cool Cars

Monster Trucks and Cool Cars, by Tori Kosara

I read Monster Trucks and Cool Cars by Tori Kosara  It has 63 pages.  Monster trucks look like big pick-up trucks.  They can weigh up to 33,000 pounds.  Backwards Bob is a monster truck with the body put on backwards.  Some cool cars are small and very fast.  The Porsche Boxer is a sport car with a top that folds down.  The Ferrari Enzo is very fast in races.  I like this book.  Other boys might like this book too.  It teaches about trucks and cars.

Rosa

Rosa, by Nikki Giovanni

What happened first: Rosa was a little girl.  She had moved.  In the middle of the story, she had met Raymond.  Last, slavery was free and black people can have a choice.  My favorite part was when everybody was free.  I am so glad what she did.  And she stood up for her rights.  I liked the story!

The Kids' Cat Book

The Kids' Cat Book, by Tomie de Paola

The beginning of the book is very funny.  I like the beginning of this story.  The beginning of the book has a lot of kittens.  Many cats were killed in the middle of the story by a witch.  Some people killed the cat so the witch was not the only one.  The girl has 13 cats and her father didn't let her keep them.  Her mother said, you can only keep one.  My favorite part was when the girl had 13 cats and they didn't let her keep but one.
