Growing Up Protected

Growing Up Protected, by Bernard Stonehouse
Illustrated by John Francis
Published by Tangerine Press in 2001

This paragraph is about animals and their lives.  I will tell one fact about animals.  A jewel fish has colorful skin.  Musk ox are called that because of their smell.  African lions are the top predators on the veldt.  A mute swan hisses at the predators to protect.  Imperial scorpion carries stingers on its lantern.  A polar bear likes to live in cold climates.  Koala bears are vegetarians.  I would recommend it to science teachers.  I thought the book was cool.
